Bird Houses

The bird houses where inspired by an existing print titled “Train Of Thoughts”. I thought the idea of artificial nests made by humans was an interesting concept. Why not push the artificial nature of the nest and or bird house by making them out of paper? I also liked the idea of them resembling a contemporary form of decoration. The bird houses collectively stand about 51 inches tall, however each vary by a few of inches of each other. A colorful wood like texture was screen printed on the surface before production and lights were later added to resemble a contemporary house lamp. The bird houses are very child like but not be mistaken as childish; I strive on my inner child.
