Kyrie set the internet on fire with his jaw-dropping warm-up video, leaving social media and news outlets buzzing with conspiracy theories. The challenge was clear: could anyone recreate the magic?
Consumers re-enacted the drills, including Shaq on TNT, spawning an internet challenge and generating millions of more views via UGC, it was featured as a segment on ESPN’s The Jump, a nationally syndicated show on ESPN, and reposted on YouTube, outlets including ESPN, Sneakernews, NBA, Overtime, Complex, House of Highlights, Daquan, Mickstapeshow and more, amassed over 50M+ views in 5 days (without paid media), with coverage from 75+ media, videos were exclusively (and intentionally) released via Kyrie’s friend & his trainer’s Instagram channels (not on any Nike platforms) and quickly spread from there.
Enter one of our most talented female athletes—the only female soccer star in the CR7 franchise. Inspired by the same electrifying energy as Kyrie’s viral moment (and the epic videos from other male football athletes), we crafted a bold, dynamic, and unapologetically true to our women’s creative vision. It’s more than just a recreation—it’s a statement.
